Sara turned 6 months!!

Wow, time has flown!  Sara turned 6 months this past month.  She is eating baby food three times a day, drinking water from a sippy cup, cooing and jabbering most of the time, starting to "scoot" around the flooring, and giggling and playing with toys.  She is legitimately one of the happiest babies (the women at daycare are always loving on her!).  The only problem is that we can never tell when she is sick.  She seems to fine, playing and smiling, but all of a sudden has a temperature!  Being in daycare has definitely been a challenge to her immune system, but hopefully this will set her up to have better immunity in the future.  Otherwise, she has adjusted really well and loves to come home and cuddle with mom and dad.  Here are some cute pictures I've recently collected:

Happy Halloween!

We had a great time taking Sara over to our old neighborhood for trick or treating.  She was very excited to pick up a treat (mostly because of the sound of the wrapper), and Jared and I are excited to eat the candy (luckily we only went to a few houses)!  It was great to say hi to our neighbors and for Sara to play with the other kids.  Below is a picture of Sara with our old neighbor, Lila.

Lauren's Bachelorette Party

One of my best friends since the 8th grade is getting married to a wonderful guy next weekend!  To celebrate, we took a trip to the Finger Lakes in NY (known for their wineries).  We spent the day on a party bus going to different wineries and sampling wine.  It was such a great time, and I can't wait to celebrate with all of the girls again at the wedding.

Pumpkin Patch!

I have long awaited having a child to take to the pumpkin patch, so I was very excited to take Sara and spend a day picking out pumpkins.  The day turned out to be a very warm day (as opposed to the Fall day that I was anticipating), but we had a good time with our friends Jim and Colleen and taking a hay ride.

Sara and daddy were worn out when we got home!

Annual Penn State Reunion!

Jared and I had our first overnight trip away from Sara a few weeks ago.  We spent the weekend at Penn State with my girlfriends from college and their significant others.  We rented a house for the weekend, which turned out to be just perfect for all of us to stay together in one place.  Even though it poured during the game, we still had a great time catching up and reliving our college "glory days" =)

While we enjoyed our time away, we woke up excited on Sunday to go back to my mom's to pick up Sara.  A big thank you to Grandma and Grandpa who not only watched Sara but also my sister's three for us.  They are the best!

The crew minus 2 (we missed you!)

Always nice to have a good "pointing" picture...

Sara's Baptism

Sara is officially a part of the catholic church.  She was baptized on Sunday, Sept 15.  It was two days after we moved into the condo, but we had both sides of the family over to our new place for a small party.  Representing both sides of the family, we had Renee as the godmother and Matt as her godfather.  The ceremony ran a little long, but it was an overall great day spent with our lovely family.  Here are a few pics of the event:
